The Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue works to improve the lives of animals on the Lake Traverse Reservation and bordering communities. We take a three-pronged approach to rescue. We remove abused, neglected, unwanted and impounded animals from the reservation. We get them to safety in our foster homes, then the majority are transported to our rescue partners for rehoming. Some cats go to our adoption program, based in Shakopee, MN. We also provide reduced cost veterinary care for animals that have great homes on the reservation.
